On the corner of shopping center the Amsterdamse Poort and at the foot of the Amsterdam ArenA Boulevard, the new residential tower “The Frame Building” is rising.
The Frame Building is an extensive site transformation of a vacant, outdated office building into a sustainable residential building with a total of 213 rental apartments. The Frame Building will rise on the site of the old ING headquarters. Construction started in the summer of 2021 and the expected completion of The Frame Building will be in the 2nd quarter of 2023. The Frame Building will include a total of 213 rental apartments, including 69 social rental apartments, 37 apartments in the mid-rent segment and 107 free sector rental apartments. The apartments range in size from 26 m2 to 102 m2.
Future residents of The Frame Building will live gas-free and the apartments will be connected to Amsterdam’s district heating network. The building’s entrance will feature a parcel service where residents can have their packages delivered or returned in secure parcel lockers. Residents will be notified immediately when packages are delivered and pick up the package at their convenience. Residents will have access to ample indoor bicycle storage and a laundry facility with professional washing and drying machines. The roof of the apartment complex will feature a communal roof terrace for residents.

The complex is easily accessible and is centrally located in the borough of Amsterdam-Zuidoost within walking distance of public transportation and the Amsterdamse Poort shopping center. In the vicinity of The Frame Building is a wide range of stores for all daily necessities and cozy restaurants and cafes. The Nelson Mandela Park is around the corner and by bike you can also reach the Gaasperpark and Gaasperplas within minutes by bike.
